Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will start their Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) campaign with a big match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Fans of the three-time IPL champions will see them in action on home soil on April 2, when they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
But even before the season starts, KKR is facing a big injury problem. Their bowling attack has fallen apart with Harshit Rana and Akash Deep out of the tournament due to injury. And Sri Lankan sensation Mathisha Pathirana is still doubtful to play in the league.

Harshit suffered a knee ligament injury during the T20 World Cup 2026, due to which he had to be ruled out of the tournament. KKR has included Navdeep Saini in the team as a replacement for Harshit. Meanwhile, Finn Allen’s explosive batting at the top gives the team some hope despite these setbacks.
