The right -handed batsman crossed the England batsman Ben Docket in the list of most test runs scored on day 2 (Friday, 3 October) in 2025.
KL Rahul ended 1 of the first Test against the West Indies in Ahmedabad at 53. He pairing a 98 -run partnership for the third wicket with Captain Shubman Gill, who scored 50 off 100 balls. Rahul went to reach his 11th Test century, remained unbeaten on 100 off 192 balls before the lunch break.

KL Rahul broke two centuries in England tour
KL Rahul recorded his best performance in 2025 during the Test match at Leeds. He scored 137 runs in the second innings, but India failed to win a win. He also recorded a century at Lord’s, although the team suffered another defeat.
In particular, Rahul played an important role in Manchester, scoring 90 runs to help India overcome, and recently remained competitive in the five -match series.
Prior to the ongoing series, Rahul showed his form by defeating an unbeaten Australia by five wickets in the second informal test in Lucknow.
West Indies excluded for only 162 on day 1 in Ahmedabad
On the first day, on 1, the West Indies were excluded for 162 in 44.1 overs after batting first. Justin Greaves (32), Shai Hope (26), and Roston Chase (24) were the only batsmen to cross 20. Mohammad Siraj (4/40), Jaspreet Bumrah (3/42), and Kuldeep Yadav (2/25) took wickets for India.
In response, India landed for a stable start with a 68 -run inauguration partnership between KL Rahul and Yashsvi Jaiswal (36) in 18.2 overs. The West Indies rejected Jaiswal and Sai Sudhrasan (7), leading to India to 90/2. However, Rahul (53*) and Shubman Gill (18*) made India 121/2 after 38 overs in stumps.
