An interesting incident involving KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma came to light during the third ODI between the Indian national cricket team and the South Africa national cricket team on Saturday, December 6.
The finale of the ODI series between KL Rahul-led India and Temba Bavuma-led South Africa is currently underway at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
KL Rahul ignored Virat Kohli on the field
Rahul was given the responsibility of leading Team India in the three-match ODI series against the Proteas after captain Shubman Gill and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer were ruled out due to injuries.
KL Rahul brings with him a wealth of leadership experience, having led several teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well as Team India in the past.
Most of his decisions on the field throughout the series have been good, and he also ended India’s curse of the toss in ODIs by winning the toss in the 3rd ODI in Vizag. This was the first toss won by India in 21 attempts in ODI cricket.
Before the start of South Africa ODI, Rahul had said that while captaining the team, he will get good support from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.
However, when Kohli came up with some advice for Rahul during the third game, he was in no mood to pay attention to it and ignored the great captain.
The incident happened in the 45th over when Kuldeep Yadav was bowling to the tailenders and Virat Kohli requested Rahul to keep two slips.
After listening to Kohli, Rahul instructed him to take his position on the field. Then he asked Rohit to come forward and gave a cheeky smile towards him.

Virat Kohli asked for second slip
KL Rahul: Go sit over there
No one respects Virat Kohli’s opinion, man.
