Young Mumbai batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been discharged from the hospital after medical examination after suffering an injury on the field during the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Uttarakhand. Raghuvanshi, who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL, was admitted to the hospital after suffering an injury.
The injury occurred during Uttarakhand’s innings in Jaipur on Friday, 26 December. Saurabh Rawat missed the slog-sweep off Tanush Kotian and the ball went towards deep mid-wicket. Raghuvanshi tried to take a diving catch near the boundary, but his head hit the ground, causing a blow just below his neck.

After getting injured on the field, Angkrish Raghuvanshi was taken care of by his Mumbai teammates and medical staff. When he was writhing in pain on the ground, the players immediately called for help.
There was some delay in arranging stretchers and ambulances. Raghuvanshi looked uncomfortable and was having difficulty moving his neck, which increased the concern among the people present on the field.
He was then taken to a nearby hospital for scans and further investigation. Doctors later confirmed that the 19-year-old had suffered a concussion, but reports were all clear.
According to the report of mykhel.com, Raghuvanshi has been discharged from the hospital and now his condition is fine. His recovery has come as a relief to the Mumbai camp and Kolkata Knight Riders fans, as he is a part of the IPL team.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi will remain under medical observation and follow concussion protocols before returning to competitive cricket. The positive update has eased the worries of the young Mumbai batsman.
Raghuvanshi scored 11 runs in 20 balls in the match and Mumbai finished with 331/7. His injury occurred during a fielding attempt, but doctors later confirmed that he was recovering.
Rohit Sharma, who started the tournament with an unbeaten 155, failed to make an impact in this game and was out for a duck.
Mumbai rebuilt its innings with strong contributions from the middle order. Musheer Khan scored 55 runs in 56 balls, while Sarfaraz Khan scored 55 runs in 49 balls. Wicketkeeper-batsman Hardik Tamore ended the innings with an unbeaten 93 off 82 balls.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s rise through age-group, domestic and IPL cricket
Angkrish Raghuvanshi represented India at the 2022 ICC Under-19 World Cup, where he finished as the team’s leading run-scorer. He moved to Mumbai at the age of 11 to take serious cricket training under Abhishek Nair and Omkar Salvi and later settled there permanently.
The young batsman made his T20 debut for Mumbai in October 2023, followed by his List A debut the following month. Raghuvanshi secured an IPL contract with Kolkata Knight Riders after being selected for Rs 20 lakh in the 2024 auction. He became a part of KKR’s title-winning campaign in 2024.
Her father Avneesh is a former tennis player, while her mother Malika played basketball. KKR has retained him for the 2026 season and is expected to get more opportunities in the upcoming tournaments.
