Match number 57 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at New Raipur, during the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. RCB invited KKR to bat first, and they had to make one big change with Varun Chakravarthy ruled out of the game due to injury and Saurabh Dubey making his IPL debut.

When KKR was batting in the middle of the innings, KKR head coach Abhishek Nair gave a big update on Varun Chakravarthy’s injury. The KKR coach said that Varun had fractured his toe in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad and he suffered the same injury in the next game and bowled four of his overs against Delhi Capitals.
Nair said, “He has a fracture in the big toe of his left foot. On which he falls on the ground while bowling and this is causing him trouble.”
