MI New York extended their perfect record in Major League Cricket with a thrilling last over win against Los Angeles Knight Riders. After scoring the winning runs, Kieron Pollard turned heads with a unique celebration on the field, which appeared to highlight MI New York’s unbeaten 6-0 record in the rivalry.

Los Angeles Knight Riders, led by Jason Holder, scored 165 runs after being asked to bat first, giving their bowlers a competitive score to defend. However, Nicholas Pooran-led MI New York remained composed during the chase and scored 168 for 4 in 19.5 overs to seal another win over their long-time rivals.
Los Angeles Knight Riders post competitive total
After being asked to bat first, Los Angeles Knight Riders recovered from a slow start to post 165/6 in their 20 overs. Andre Fletcher played a quickfire inning of 34 runs in 26 balls, while Matthew Tromp led the innings with 44 runs in 36 balls.

Jason Holder changed the momentum with a strong knock of 43 off 22 balls with three fours and three sixes, before the Knight Riders slipped to 121/5. Rovman Powell added 23 runs, while Sunil Narine remained unbeaten on 8 and helped the team finish strongly.
For MI New York, Corbin Bosch was the standout bowler with figures of 3/19 in four overs. Rushil Ugarkar also took three wickets, while Trent Boult kept things tight by conceding just 28 runs in his four-over spell.
Sunil Narine kept MI New York under pressure
MI New York got off to a bad start after Quinton de Kock was out for a duck in the second over. Monank Patel scored 32 runs in 29 balls, while captain Nicholas Pooran could score 16 runs, but the run rate kept increasing.

Los Angeles Knight Riders bowlers maintained the pressure by taking regular wickets. Sunil Narine bowled brilliantly and gave only seven runs in his four overs without taking any wicket. At the halfway stage, MI New York were 55/2, and after the dismissal of Tajinder Dhillon, they slipped to 80/4 in the 12th over.
Despite not taking any wickets, Narine’s economical spells were instrumental in keeping the Knight Riders in control for most of the chase.
Kieron Pollard’s “6-0” celebration goes viral
Kieron Pollard once again showed his finishing ability and scored unbeaten 63 runs with the help of six fours and two sixes in 35 balls. Corey Anderson provided excellent support by scoring 37 not out off 24 balls and the pair made an unbeaten 88-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
MI New York needed six runs from the last two balls. Corey Anderson sealed the win with a six over long-on, taking his team to 168/4 with one ball remaining.
Moments after the winning shot, Pollard celebrated by kneeling on the pitch and writing “6-0” with his finger, highlighting MI New York’s unbeaten record against the Los Angeles Knight Riders.
