Kieron Pollard became the batsman who scored the most runs in T-20, beating Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli.

At the age of 39, when most players around the world have retired, former West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard is still going strong.

On 21 July, Pollard, who is currently playing as a batting all-rounder for MI New York, made a record in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) during their match against Washington Freedom.

Kieron Pollard is now the highest run-scorer in T20 history. Through today’s match, he has left behind the giants of the format like Chris Gayle. Most of the MI New York batsmen lost cheaply in front of a huge Washington Freedom crowd. Pollard was the only player who stood up to Freedom’s aggressive bowling attack today.

In this effort, Pollard scored his second T20 century today, cementing his place in the record books, but it was not enough to help the team win the match against Washington Freedom. Kieron Pollard remained unbeaten after scoring 100 runs on 56 balls.
