33 -year -old India National Cricket Team batsman Karun Nair did not make a memorable comeback in the Test team after eight years and would be expecting a better performance in the upcoming matches.
The first Test match between the India National Cricket Team and the England National Cricket Team is currently in Headingley in Leeds on Monday, 23 June.

Karun Nair fails badly on trial return
After the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2017, Nair was removed from the Test and had to stay away from the Indian team for so long that many people felt that he would never donate the Test Jersey again.
However, the right -handed batsman was not yet done, and he went to a difficult piece in domestic cricket to give himself a return stage.
In the 2024–25 season, he gave extraordinary performances in domestic cricket and forced the selection committee to include the testing team for the series against England.
He was directly drafted in the team after 3006 days (8 years 86 days) for the first Test against the side of the Ben Stokes -led side, which is one of the longest intervals between two test appearances after 3006 days (8 years 86 days).
In the first innings, Karun Nair came out to bat after Gill’s dismissal and did a terrible outing, as he was cleaned by Ben Stokes for 4 ball ducks.
Meanwhile, Nair Centurion went out to bat in the second innings after Rishabh Pant’s dismissal, and he made an important stand of 46 runs with KL Rahul.

Talking about the match, Stuart Broad said on Sky Sports that India should watch 350-360 runs. He explained in detail:
“I would probably start going through the gear. If I was in India, reach 350-360, which must be very easy on this surface. Then get two cracks with a new ball-one tonight and one tomorrow in the first day of the second new ball in the first day.
