“Karun is a big step because of not having Nair. He sought a second opportunity, and I would also say that his performance was fine. You cannot say that he caught that opportunity with both hands, but you cannot even say that his performance was very common, either you should leave them suddenly.
“He was moved up and down in the batting order, sent to number 3 and number 6. Despite this, he scored a few runs, but went out at some places. I felt that he would get a chance in the West Indies Tour of India. Unfortunately, you can’t see Karun Nair playing now.”
