Pesar Vasuki Kushik of Karnataka has officially joined the Goa cricket team before the upcoming domestic season. 32-year-old Right-Arme Medium Pesar has not received any objection certificate (NOC) to confirm his transfer from the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA). Karun Nair has also returned to Karnataka after his return to India.

Vasuki Kaushik, who had a strong domestic season with 49 wickets for Karnataka last year, is now ready to lead Goa’s speed attack in the upcoming domestic season. The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) has confirmed that his first professional signature of the Kouoreshik season is the possibility of more players on the card.

“We have signed Kushik. So far, this is the only confirmation transfer. We are searching for some other options, but no names have been finalized so far,” was told by Cricbuzz, Secretary of Goa Cricket Association (GCA).

Last year, the winners of the Ranji Trophy Plate Group go aim to climb high in this season. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Goa finished fifth in Group A, while Syed Mushtaq Ali finished sixth in his group. With Vasuki Kushik’s experience and continuity, the team is now aiming to give better performance in forms in the next season.

Koudik played seven Ranji matches, five Vijay Hazare games and 10 T20 games in the previous season, distributing with a consecutive ball. Vasuki Kaushik played seven Ranji Trophy matches, five Vijay Hazare Khels and 10 T20 matches for Karnataka last season.

Karun Nair returns to Karnataka before the upcoming domestic season

Vasuki Kaushik took 23 wickets in the Ranji Trophy, 8 in Vijay Hazare Trophy and 18 in T20. In the upcoming domestic season, fast bowlers can open bowling for Goa with Arjun Tendulkar. Goa had tried to bring Indian opener Yashsvi Jaiswal earlier, but this step did not become physical. At the last moment, Jaiswal decided to stay in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Karnataka has welcomed Karun Nair, which re -incorporates its home team after a short term with Vidarbha before the 2025 season. Karun Nair, who is currently on a tour of England with Team India, has allegedly decided to return to his home state for personal reasons.

Recently, Jitesh Sharma also left Vidarbha and joined Baroda in the upcoming domestic season. Royal Challengers Bangalore wicketkeeper-Better did not provide facilities in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy, as Akshay Wadkar was liked as the first choice as keeper.

Jitesh, led by Karun Nair, was part of Vidarbha’s white balls squads, but limited opportunities forced him to quit his state team and move to Baroda, thanks to his captain, Krunal Pandya for his strong bond, thanks to his team’s companions in Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Mohammed Shami’s name in Bengal investigation for the upcoming domestic season

On the other hand, Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who has been out of action since IPL 2025, has been included in the list of 50 Bengal investigations for the upcoming domestic cricket season. Shami, who is currently recovering from injury, will return with Bengal.

The list released by the Cricket Association of Bengal also includes Akash Deep and Abhimanyu Ishvaran – both are currently with the Indian team on a tour of England. Pacer Mukesh Kumar and senior batsman Austap Majumdar are also nominated. Majumdar is likely to continue as the captain of Bengal.
