Too much pressure: Kapil Dev
Kapil Dev said that Vaibhav Suryavanshi still has a long journey to go. He has a special talent but needs to keep focusing on him in the future. The former all-rounder claims that at the age of just 15, there is a lot of pressure on Suryavanshi.
“I think he is a special talent but he still has a long way to go. There is no doubt that the way he has performed in club cricket at such a young age shows his potential. He just needs to focus on himself because he has a long way to go. Right now, I think we are putting too much pressure on him,” he told news agency IANS.

On the previous occasion, when Kapil Dev was asked to say something about the young talent, he refused to make any comment. The 67-year-old said that those who watch the batsman up close and not from the television screen are the best at assessing talent.
Kapil Dev told reporters in the first week of May this year, “I don’t know because I haven’t seen it. I’m like you guys. Whatever you put on TV, I watch it and try to make sense of it. I watch cricket on TV at home and then giving a verdict is not right. People who talk and watch everyone are better. Like Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri or Harsha Bhogle, they can understand more than me.”
Suryavanshi wants to play test for India
While fans are speculating about Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s debut match for Team India, the batsman himself has claimed that he wants to represent the national cricket team in all three formats including the Test format. According to him, he has practiced and is practicing a lot with Red, so in future he would definitely like to play in White.
