India National Cricket Team 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev has settled the debate on the world’s best all -rounder with a strong statement.
Kapil Dev said that India’s all -rounder Ravindra Jadeja is the best in the world and better than England captain Ben Stokes.

Stokes is a good all -guounder, but … – Kapil Dev
Ben Stokes has been as his life and is making a significant contribution to his team in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.
Stokes has scored 304 runs in the Manchester Test at an outstanding average of 43.42, including a wonderful centenary, and is about to take a major wicket in the five -match testing of five matches between India and England under its belt.
On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja took 13 wickets and scored 347 runs for the India National Cricket Team at an extraordinary average of 86.75.
As the two all-rounders are exceptionally well performing, there is a warm debate between fans that are really best. According to veteran Kapil Dev, Ben Stokes is a good all-rounder, but Jadeja is much better than him.
“I don’t want to compare. Stokes is a good all-rounder, but I still think Jadeja is ahead. He is performing better,” Kapil, who is the president of PGTI, was cited by PTI for the second half of 2025 by PTI to announce the PGTI schedule.
Give him time – Kapil Dev on Shubman Gill
Kapil Dev urged the fans to give some time to the newly appointed India Test Captain Shubman Gill, which is under pressure after India’s defeat in the Lord’s Test and poor performance in the ongoing Manchester Test.
The mythological all -rounder said that Gill is still learning things and is a young team that will make mistakes.
“Give him time. This is his first series, he will make mistakes and there will be many positive in the period of time. He will learn. If he is learning, there is no problem. Mistakes will happen, but he is learning from his mistakes that are very important,” Kapil said.
“This is a young team, they are getting an opportunity to play and these players will win in the coming days. It is just a new team. It takes time to accommodate any new team in the world. Gill is a new captain, and he will learn a lot and I think the series will be a learning step.”

Talking about Paper Ansul Kamboj of Haryana, who made his debut in the Manchester Test and returned with 18-1–89-1 figures, Kapil Dev said that the young player needs to be supported as he has the ability to succeed internationally.
He said, “What do you expect from a debut that he should take 10 wickets? You have to assess his ability. If he is quite good, he will jump back. Everyone gets nervous while playing their first game. The result may not be ideal, but I believe that the ability is, and it is more important,” he said.
