Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out – Temba Bavuma
Rabada is one of the most important members of the South African Test team, and was set to be included in the playing eleven in the first game of the series against the India national cricket team at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
However, unfortunately, he suffered a rib injury during a training session in South Africa and was ruled out of the game. The fast bowler underwent several medical tests and evaluations but was declared unfit to play.
Later, reports claimed that Kagiso Rabada was doubtful for the second match, and Cricket South Africa (CSA) also included Lungi Ngidi in the squad as cover. However, Proteas bowling coach Pete Botha said the fast bowler was still being monitored by the medical team.
Meanwhile, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma has now given the final update on Kagiso Rabada, stating that he has been ruled out of the Guwahati Test match.
“Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of the second Test against India with a rib injury,” South Africa captain Temba Bavuma was quoted as saying by PTI.
