Mitchell Starc is now a two-form player, but Josh Hazelwood, 34, and Pat Cummins, is not the case with 32. Cummins and Hazelwood are available as all-corresponding players, but may not play all the games that are moving forward due to age factors and charge management.
Hazelwood is a very hurt-hurt bowler and has missed a lot of action in the last few years due to his fitness issues. On the other hand, Cummins is currently dealing with a lumbar stress injury and the Ashes is highly suspicious for the onset of 2025–26.
I think we have still got some more games that we have left so far – Josh Hazelwood
Some rumors suggested that the upcoming ash could occur when Josh Hazelwood, Pat Cummins and Pat Cummins would be seen together in action.
However, Hazelwood shut down the rumors, saying that everyone still loves Test cricket and would be eager to join the red-ball format for at least the next two years.
“I don’t think we are now in a position to say anything, but I think you can sit back in the end and think about it,” Hazelwood was called by Sen Radio.
“I think everyone still loves the format of Test cricket. A lot of tests are coming in the next two years. There is another cycle of the World Test Championship, so there are still many things about Test cricket, not only ashes. I think we still have some more games left in the US,” Hazlewood said.

We have got good shield bowlers in every state – Hazelwood
Australia may be the most successful in cricket, but the life after Cummins, Hazelwood and Stark does not look quite promising, as the next generation pacers do not look very impressive.
However, Josh Hazlewood otherwise thinks. Australian Pesar believes that there are very good young speedsters in the country, and there will never be a shortage of fast bowlers in Australia.
“I probably don’t want to name the name, but I think a lot has been coming through the white-ball system over the years.
He said, “In that format, I think they will do a great job, so there is no shortage of fast bowlers around Australia, I don’t think.”
