Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat first. During the match, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut in Team India in this format. There were a lot of expectations from the young batsman. However his debut with the senior national cricket team ended in an unceremonious manner. Suryavanshi was out after scoring only 14 runs in 10 balls with two sixes.
