England batsman Jonny Bairstow has represented England in all three formats of the game. The explosive right-handed wicketkeeper batsman has been playing in the IPL for the last decade and has represented several franchises.
Given the increasing need for wicketkeepers, Bairstow was a key player to be picked in the mini-auction. Some teams were in dire need of a wicket-keeper batsman and did not spend money on the Englishman.

36-year-old England cricketer Jonny Bairstow is no longer a part of the England team, but he is undoubtedly one of the finest batsmen to have played for the country in all three formats. Having played international cricket for England and represented them in over 100 matches in Tests and ODIs, Bairstow brings world-class experience to the team.
In a career spanning over a decade, he has played 250 T20 matches throughout his career and has scored 6031 runs at an average of 30, and also has 5 centuries to his name. With the gloves, he has taken 131 catches and completed 16 stumpings.
Bairstow played for SRH and PBKS in IPL
Jonny Bairstow made his IPL debut with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2019. Bairstow opened the innings with Australian batsman David Warner and played with the franchise till 2021. Playing across three seasons, he scored 1048 runs in 28 matches before moving to Punjab Kings.
Playing for Punjab Kings between 2022-24, the English batsman played 22 matches and managed to score 551 runs with one century, which helped them chase the highest target in IPL history. He then played in the knockouts for Mumbai Indians in 2025, as he opened the innings and scored 85 runs in two matches.
Recently, he was seen playing for MI Emirates as he scored 136 runs in 5 innings.
