Jofra Archer continued his saga of taking a wicket in the very first over of the game as he dismissed KKR opener Tim Seifert with the very first ball of his spell in the KKR vs RR clash at the Eden Gardens.
Kolkata Knight Riders, who returned to their home ground Eden Gardens in the IPL, are still looking for their first win of the season. They face Rajasthan Royals, a team which is looking promising so far with excellent performances with both bat and ball.
Jofra Archer bowls out Tim Seifert with a perfect jaffa
England’s RR fast bowler Jofra Archer has been in some form in this edition of the IPL. Whenever he has taken the new ball for the Riyan Parag-led side, he has performed well and has often dismissed aggressive openers like Phil Salt and Abhishek Sharma.
This time, defending a comparatively low score against the Knight Riders, the Royals needed to do well early with the ball and Archer took the lead with the very first ball. He hit a ball onto the stumps and Seifert was not committed enough to defend the ball, as the ball hit the stumps.
The first over strike for Jofra Archer and the Seifert switch from Finn Allen have not worked for Kolkata Knight Riders in the last two matches. Archer was very happy with captain Riyan Parag.
