Former Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun has come out in support of Jasprit Bumrah, as Star Pacer has faced heavy criticism to recall the series-guard fifth and final test against England in Ull in the name of workload management.
Jasprit Bumrah has a history of serious injuries. Keeping this in mind, the Indian cricket team management had already made it clear that the fast bowler would be available for only three matches in the five -match Test series in England, and they clung to that plan.
Bharat Arun criticized Jasprit Bumrah “inappropriate”
However, the call did not go down well with many people, and he questioned Bumrah’s commitment to the team. And now Bharat Arun slammed criticism, called it “inappropriate” and “short -sighted”. Hearing about this stuff against Jasprit Bumrah was very sad: Bharat Arun
Bharat Arun was quoted by the Bharatiya Express saying: “Hearing about this stuff against Bumrah is very sad. They have undergone a serious surgery, and people should understand that it is not as if surgery has been done and it is good forever. No, it is now more serious on his back.”
Meanwhile, a PTI report claimed that the BCCI players may find strict on the “picking and choose” matches, as some board officials were not happy that Bumrah could not handle the charge of all five tests. Reacting to the report, Arun said, “It is choosing and choosing. A few months ago, he was honored as the world’s largest fast bowler in Australia, and now, he is being wrongly criticized. Did he underarforms all three tests?

Bharat Arun slam the double standards in the Jasprit Bumrah Workload Management Row
Speaking of the Indian team management decision, Arun made it clear that India had announced that Jaspreet Bumrah will play only three tests well before the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, so that he could avoid pressure to overplay and “such a nonsense.”
He signed this saying, “Not to fall to the world for temptation and play it, because this test is important … his body is now like that. We have to be careful and understand how difficult this whole attempt is and what he is doing for him – is playing for India through all this.”
In particular, Bumrah missed the second and final test against England. Pacer played in the first, third and fourth tests and managed 14 wickets in the series which ended 2–2 in England.
