Team India’s Pesar Jasprit Bumrah brought humor in a press conference after the match at Lord’s after 2 of the third Test against England. He was briefly interrupted when a journalist’s phone started ringing on the table, while answering a question about pressure and handling memorable moments.
Jasprit Bumrah saw India’s bowling attack at Lord’s. He rejected the prominent batsmen Harry Brook, Joe Root and Ben Stokes. Bumrah earned a place on the prestigious Lord’s Honors Board. He, who missed the previous test due to workload management, ended with impressive figures of 5 for 74 in 27 overs.

“As long as I am wearing this jersey, there will be a decision. Obviously, it is part of the professional game and parcel. You will always be judged by your performance, day and day being out. When Sachin sir played 200 Test matches, he too was also judged …” Bumrah said before a phone call.
“Someone’s wife is calling … but I will not pick it up. I have left it in this way,” they replied before continuing, “Everyone Judge … I forgot the question. The professional game is the same.”
The most memorable Test match for me was … – Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah called the 2021 Lord’s Test one of the most memorable moments of his career. He did not take a wicket or score in the first innings, but played an important role with the bat in the second innings, adding an unbeaten stand of 89 runs with Mohammed Shami. Bumrah scored 34 runs while Shami added 56.
“I don’t think of all that. The most memorable Test match for me was in England last time. When Shami Bhai and I won the match with batting, I will remember those memories. It is a good thing to come to the Honors Board. When my son grows up, I can tell him that my name is on the Honors Board,” Bumrah shared.
Jasprit Bumrah hoped to relax something at 3 of the Lord’s Test
Jasprit Bumrah is married to sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan. The two met during an IPL interview in 2013 and later tied a knot in a private ceremony in Goa on 15 March 2021.
His family welcomed his son, Angad in September 2023. Despite Bumrah’s cricket commitments and Sanjana’s media career, they share a strong and supportive relationship.
Bumrah is expected to relax something as India has continued its first innings on the third day. Visitors are behind 242 runs after losing three wickets, KL Rahul and Rishabh with pants before the stump at day 2 at the crease. The fans are ready for an exciting day 3 of Test action on 12 July.
