On Sunday (February 15), Jasprit Bumrah once again showed why he is considered the best bowler in the world. The Indian fast bowler made a brilliant comeback after being hit for a six in the ongoing match between India and Pakistan in Colombo.
Apart from taking the big wicket of Sahibzada Farhan, Hardik Pandya also gave a great start to India with the ball. Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl the second over and Sam Ayub hit a six on his very first ball.

Jasprit Bumrah sends Sam Ayub back:
Jasprit Bumrah bowled a short length ball and Sam Ayub looked completely unaware of it. He moved down the track to play a big shot but the ball went over him. Luckily for Ayub, the ball flew over the fielder at third man for a six.
However, on the very next ball, India’s star player dismissed Ayub with a brilliant yorker. It was a full inswing delivery from Jasprit Bumrah and Ayub was too late to hit the shot. Before the Pakistani opener could lower his back, the ball hit the front pad. The umpire had no hesitation at all in raising his finger.
Jasprit Bumrah had a brilliant reaction as soon as the umpire declared the batsman out. The India fast bowler, instead of celebrating the wicket, stared at Ayub before he decided to review. However, replays showed that the on-field umpire was out and Ayub had to return to the pavilion.

Bumrah’s work was not completed yet. He also put India firmly in the driver’s seat by dismissing Pakistan captain Salman Aga on the last ball of the over. Till the time of writing this report, Pakistan’s score was 14/3 in the third over.
Ishan Kishan takes India to a challenging score:
Earlier in the match, India ended the innings at 176/7 when invited to bat first. On a pitch where most of the batsmen were struggling to time the ball, Ishan Kishan played an extraordinary innings. Even though Abhishek Sharma was out for a duck in the very first over, Kishan played aggressively and scored a half-century in 27 balls.
He ultimately scored 77 runs in 40 balls with the help of 10 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from him, Tilak Verma (25), Suryakumar Yadav (32) and Shivam Dubey (27) also played useful innings.
Sam Ayub impressed with the ball:
Although Ayub could not make a big impact with the bat, he did so with the ball. The spinner took full advantage of the slow Colombo pitch and brought out Pakistan’s best performance with the ball. He took 3 wickets for only 24 runs in 4 overs.
