Jasprit Bumrah is scared of Vaibhav Suryavanshi! Dale Steyn makes big comment on blockbuster fight

Great South African player Dale Steyn cannot stop himself from praising Rajasthan Royals opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The 15-year-old opening batsman surprised everyone when he gave a warm welcome to Jasprit Bumrah. A few balls later, one of the best fast bowlers of all time sent down another maximum.

Last night, Vaibhav Suryavanshi played another explosive innings at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. Fans were excited to see the duel between Vaibhav and Jasprit.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal helped Rajasthan Royals score 150 runs in 11 overs.

In the 11-over match, Rajasthan Royals scored a massive score of 150 runs thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s unbeaten 77 and Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s 39 runs. The young opener needed only 14 balls to score 39 runs with a strike rate of 278.57. In this innings, the latter hit five sixes and one 4. Out of those five sixes, he hit two in the first over of Jasprit Bumrah.

Former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn said that Suryavanshi might have created fear among the bowlers, which is why even a great batsman like Jasprit Bumrah hit a six on the first ball.

Suryavanshi created fear among bowlers: Dale Steyn

“I think that’s what he has done. I mean, to be honest, he has created a fear in the bowlers’ mind that he is going to hit you for a boundary. That ball is Bumrah’s. He is in the slot. It is very rare for Bumrah. Even the great Bumrah is thinking in the back of his mind: ‘Don’t get it wrong; because if I go wrong, this guy will hit me for a six’,” Steyn said of Bumrah. Said ESPNcricinfo’s timeout show about Suryavanshi’s first ball.

“I think, if you think that way, oftentimes, you get it wrong. You can also see when he hits him a six, he [Bumrah] After almost starting to laugh and then saying, ‘I knew if I got it wrong it was going to happen’, Dale Steyn further explained the scenario.

Dale Steyn told how bowlers can get Suryavanshi out quickly

Steyn explained why he was surprised by Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s batting. The former fast bowler said that the young batsman knows how to perform without any fear. Steyn suggested the blowers pull back the length as full-length balls against Suryavanshi would fly into the crowd.

“And this kid is not scared, man. If you miss the half-volley, he will hit you out of the ground. So pull your length back and hit a good length, and you can be on the money with him. Miss and you are going the distance. It doesn’t matter who you are, Bumrah or Joe Average. You know, so that’s great batting.”

After the Rajasthan Royals match, the fast bowlers of MI and Team India are without wickets for three consecutive matches in the ongoing Indian Premier League season. And Mumbai Indians tried well with the bat but lost to the Royals due to a batting collapse at the top of the order.
