Jasprit Bumrah is a complete match winner – Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa said Jasprit Bumrah’s workload needs to be managed, calling him a rare match-winner. Uthappa said the focus now should be on striking the right balance, keeping Bumrah fit and giving him enough game time to build momentum ahead of the World Cup.

“He is a complete match-winner and it is important to manage his workload,” Uthappa said. “Fast bowling is probably the most difficult skill in the game, and Bumrah does it at pace with a hard action.”

“You want to protect him, but at the same time, you want him to play enough cricket,” Uthappa said. “We’ve seen glimpses of his talent, and hopefully he can be consistent over the next few games before the World Cup.”
