He played all the five matches of the recently concluded Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against the England National Cricket Team, which shows his sheer fitness levels.
Even on the 25th day of the series, Mohammad Siraj was breathing fire, and he hit the final nail in the coffin to help India attract series 2–2.
He was not able to give a good performance in the Test Series Opener, but in the second Test, Pesar excluded his heart and helped India win.
Then, in the third test, he was decent, and in the fourth test, Mohammad Siraj looked dull. However, he stepped up when the team needed the most in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah in the fifth Test.
The right -handed pacer took nine sensational nine wickets and bowled exceptionally well at Kennington Oval in London to guide India to win 6 runs. Overall, he took 23 wickets in 9 innings of 32.43 and ended as a leading wicket taker in the series.
Siraj is a real hero – Kapil Dev
Veteran Kapil Dev is greatly influenced by Siraj’s performance, and he said that Pesar led India’s bowling attack.
“Siraj is a real hero. The good thing is that he did not try to do anything extraordinary. He simply placed the ball in the right areas, especially around stumps and success. Siraj was leading the bowling attack. [in Jasprit Bumrah’s absence] And he boldly did it, “Kapil told Mid-Day on Friday.
Kapil Dev said that when it comes to the game, the language is no longer a hindrance, because some Indian players like Mohammad Siraj cannot speak English very well, but they let their performance talk.
“England needed 35 runs and India needed four wickets. It was a five -day morning and we took all four wickets. We cannot speak better English, but our team has proved that it is not necessary to speak English when it comes to winning a cricket match.”
“Siraj was in high souls and picked up the entire team that day. [No. 7 Jamie] Smith was a dangerous batsman and when Siraj removed him, it brought the faith back to the Indian team, “Kapil said.”

If we can bring more players like Siraj, we will win many more matches – Kapil Dev
Kapil Dev highlighted the occasion of Mohammad Siraj, who gifted Harry Brook to a lifeline on 4 of the Oval Test and said that the speedster did not allow it to affect his game. He said:
“Siraj dropped a catch on day four, yet he bowled his best after that. It is a rare and great quality. He never saw under pressure.”
The 1983 World Cup winning captain finally said that India is in dire need of more players like Siraj. He said:
“He should be given credit for all nine wickets. The difference was just six runs, so I do not believe in creating one or two wickets. If we can bring more players like Siraj, we will win many more matches.”
