India’s legendary fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took the ball in his new spell after the tea break and destroyed the Proteas team within 2 overs. Bumrah completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing Simon Harmer and Keshav Maharaj in the same over.
India is playing the first Test against South Africa at the prestigious ground Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Jasprit Bumrah, one of the best bowlers among the Indian bowlers, started to perform well as he was their main fast bowler in the team along with four other spinners.

After tea, Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl the second over of his new spell. He was hit for a four on the second ball and then the expert Indian fast bowler gave the perfect answer to it. By the tea break on the first day, South Africa had lost 8 wickets.
Bumrah produced a blistering performance and looked very good for the number 10 batsman as he troubled the woodwork for the Protea batsman. The ball was pitched on a good length and it bounced back into the right-handed batsman’s stumps.
As Harmer looked settled at the crease, the ball got stuck under the bat and hit the off-stump, deceiving the batsman. Bumrah just has a quizzical smile on his face as he goes about his business

Five wickets for Bumrah with Keshav Maharaj’s short stay at Eden Gardens
On the last ball of this over, Bumrah ended the South African innings by clean bowling Keshav Maharaj. Another in-swinging yorker that landed on Maharaj’s shoes when he tried to take his foot out, but the ball hit his toes.
India appealed loudly, between middle and in front of leg stump, and Rod Tucker raised his finger, and the South African batsman had to be sent back with no review left for DRS. Jasprit Bumrah finished the innings with 14 overs, 5 maidens, 27 runs and 5 wickets.
