Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter AB de Villiers made a big statement on the charge of Jaspreet Bumrah before the Asia Cup 2025 starting on 9 September.
Bumrah was included in the Asia Cup 2025 squad of India amid his charge and criticism on injury management. The 31-year-old recently showed the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England in only three of the five tests of 2025, where he took 14 wickets, including two five wickets.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, AB deilliers said that Jasprit Bumrah will not be in all matches of the Asia Cup, as well as India is likely to use them in high-dinous encounters. The former Protias captain praised the selectors for taking the right view in the management of one of the most valuable players in India.

De Villiers said, “It’s great to see him in the squad, ready to fit and go. I don’t think he will play all the games.”
He said, “I said in reports that they will be kept for the game that is from this and I love that the selectors are active. It is how you should manage your senior and most influential players,” he said.

AB de Villiers said that more than 30 players need care management career career career career. He remembered that Bumrah missed the Champions Trophy earlier this year after being over-used in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
