India’s national cricket team is expected to make several changes in the playing XI for the fifth and final Test match of the series against the England National cricket team, including giving rest to Jasprit Bumrah.
The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 series between India and England is scheduled to be played at the Oval from 31 July.

Jasprit Bumrah is available for fifth test?
Pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has already abolished the boundary he set up before entering the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, and his participation in the fifth test against England is suspected.
Jasprit Bumrah had a pre-planned target that he had a pre-planned target to feature only three out of five tests, to ensure that his body does not break and he stays away from injuries.
He completed his quota by playing the first Test in Hadingley in Leeds, third Test at Lord’s in London and first Test in the fourth Test in Old Trafford in Manchester.
Currently, with the possibility of a draw on (2–1) in favor of England and a draw on the card, many have called Bumrah to play the Oval Test. Allegedly, the Indian team management is already discussing about the participation of Jasprit Bumrah, and the final decision will be made within the next 24 hours.
According to a Times of India report, “It is understood that a ‘wildcard’ approach can be followed as far as Bumrah is concerned, and the team management is likely to sideline wickets for stability.”
Kuldeep Yadav is likely to play the Oval Test
The TOI report further states that Kuldeep Yadav is likely to play the first game of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 in the Oval Test.
The 30-year-old left-arm wrist-spinner has gained strong support from cricket experts to play Test matches in England, but Gautam Gambhir’s led team management has not shown confidence in him.
Since making his Test debut in March 2017, Kuldeep Yadav has played just 13 matches, and has been prepared for four back-to-back matches on the England tour.
In addition, Revsportz has reported that Kuldeep Yadav is seriously considering to play the fifth test at the Oval.
Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep are fully fit
Speaking at a press conference after a draw at the Manchester Test, India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir confirmed that all the fast bowlers are fit in the Indian camp.
It was a major development as Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh were excluded from the fourth test due to their waist and hand injuries.
This forced the Control Board (BCCI) for cricket in India to a rope in Ansul Kamboj and handed him a test debut cap at Old Trafford. However, for the first time failed to impress and bowl at a low speed.
In the fifth Test, if Jasprit Bumrah is unavailable, India is likely to go with Mohammad Siraj and Akash, which is deeply as border pacers with one with fame Krishna and Arshdeep Singh.
