Paes Spearhead Jaspreet Bumrah of India National Cricket Team won his heart with his last selfless act during the first Test of the two -match series against the West Indies National Cricket Team.
The test series openers are currently running at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday 2 October between India -led India and Roston Chase -led West Indies.
Jasprit Bumrah’s big heart for Mohammad Siraj
Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj have formed a deadly speed-bouncing pair for India, but the unavailable in several matches has dropped additional responsibility on the shoulders of Hyderabad’s pamens.
In India’s last Test series in England, Jasprit Bumrah made himself available in only three Tests out of five, and in his absence, Mohammad Sirraj was asked to lead the Indian bowling unit against England.
Siraj took the responsibility very well and ended the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 as a major wicket-taking with 23 wickets in his bag. He especially destroyed his animal mode when Jaspreet was absent from playing Bumrah.
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Sirj’s best were seen together in the ongoing match against the West Indies in Ahmedabad. Both pacers were breathing after India was invited to bowl first, and their major demonstrations noticed that India had excluded the West Indies for 162 in 44.1 overs.
During the innings, Bumrah, with a toe-fogging yorker off the first ball of the 41st over, looked at Johan Leyne with a toe-cushion yorker, in which the West Indies were reduced to 9–153 and took their tally to three wickets.
However, Jasprit Bumrah surprised everyone with his acting as he bowled the last three delivery outside the off-stump for Jayden seal. Premier Pesar deliberately bowled to such delivery as he wanted Mohammad Sirraj a shot to take a 5-wicket race.
Dinesh Karthik said on-air, “I think he is bowling that the length to know Siraj is just one wicket away from five wickets”.

However, Siraj was unable to do that he bowled in the next two overs and was limited to only four wickets, as left -arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav rejected the war on the first ball of the 45th over.
Mohammad Siraj registered his best bowling figures
Although Siraj did not give a 5-cicat race, his 4/40 figures against the West Indies were the best in a Test match in India.

Speaking on Star Sports, former Indian cricketer Akash Chopra tried to decod the conversation between Sirj and Bumrah during the innings, and he said that he said:
“They were discussing whether you will take 5 wickets or I will take 5 wickets. Bumrah said, I have no problem, I have only played Asia Cup, you take 5 wickets.”

Akash Chopra appreciated Mohammad Sirraj for showing a surprising performance with the ball in Test cricket after once again disappeared in the Asia Cup team. Chopra discussed in detail the wickets taken by Sirj and detailed:
“He has not played cricket for two months. He was resting when he did not play for the Asia Cup since the tour of England. So he was given an additional over. He was given a big mantra. You can never question how much he is trying very fast. He tries to give everyone.
“It was a lucky wicket as it was not a wicket -taking ball. The scramble seam, under the leg side. The batsman thought, he would score, but the idea was closed.
