Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Yash Dayal has revealed about his absence from the ongoing IPL 2026 season. The left-arm fast bowler clarified that missing the tournament was not his personal decision, adding that he is still part of the Bengaluru-based franchise despite missing the entire season.
Dayal is currently dealing with several legal issues, including a case registered at Sanganer Sadar police station in Jaipur. According to the complaint, a minor alleged that she met the fast bowler during a match in Jaipur and subsequently faced repeated sexual abuse and emotional molestation over a period of two years.

Speaking during an appearance on The Talk with Manvendra, Yash Dayal Admitted that it was difficult to watch IPL 2026 from the sidelines. He said that Royal Challengers Bangalore took the final decision to keep him out of the team, adding that they still did not know the exact reason behind it.
Dayal said, “Obviously, if you are sitting outside. When I see them on television, sometimes I get up. But then this is my team, and they have not removed me. They have kept me in the retain list and I have not found any replacement.”
“They probably think I am an important part. The second thing is that it was not my personal decision to opt out of this season. The statement may be controversial, but the decision is always taken by the authority. I don’t know what was the reason behind RCB’s decision,” he said.

Yash Dayal also told about his emotional connection Royal Challengers Bangalore After helping the franchise win its first IPL title last season. The left-arm fast bowler admitted that it has been extremely difficult for him to be away from the team during IPL 2026.
“I miss him a lot. I don’t know if the team misses me or not, that’s what the fans will say.”
Before the season started, RCB Director of Cricket Mo Bobat told the media that Dayal will not play in IPL 2026 due to a personal condition. Bobat said the decision was taken in the best interests of both the player and the franchise, although RCB retained Dayal and did not sign a replacement.

Yash Dayal said that his relationship with Royal Challengers Bangalore remains strong. The fast bowler confirmed that he remains in regular touch with the franchise management, including mentor Dinesh Karthik and the coaching staff.
Dayal said, “I am in talks with the management. I have spoken to the director, the coach and also Dinesh Karthik. We talk every now and then and there is no break in the relationship. There is no communication gap. Everything is clear and sorted out.”
