In 2022, Ahmed completed his half-century in 32 balls; Misbah needed 33 balls to do this in 2007. Before Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli was holding the record of scoring the fastest half-century by an Indian cricketer against Pakistan. Kohli had achieved this feat in 2016 while facing 36 balls. Presently the head coach of Team India, Gautam Gambhir scored a half-century in 38 balls in 2007.
