Ishan Kishan was the player of the match for India in the second T20 match against Zimbabwe.
Team India was in trouble when both its openers Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Suryavanshi got loose at short intervals. The visiting team had lost two wickets for 29 runs in 3 overs.
Kishan came into the middle as the number three batsman and ultimately tilted the momentum of the match completely towards India. Tilak Verma also played well and supported Ishan Kishan during his crucial innings.
While Ishan was out after scoring 81 runs in 44 balls with the help of nine fours and two sixes, Tilak Verma remained unbeaten on 60 runs in 29 balls and helped the team score a total of 219 runs in the first innings.

After heroics from Ishan and Tilak Verma, Zimbabwe were almost out of the competition. Without any important partnership, the host team lost all its wickets for just 129 runs.
In the presentation ceremony, Ishan Kishan said that he has achieved these runs only because of his fielding smartness. He kept things simple, supporting his natural game and smashing balls whenever he got the chance.
“You don’t think about the wickets that have already fallen. The past is the past. You just keep looking at the ball. You know your strengths; you know where you can score and which bowlers to target. It’s about being smart in the middle. I kept things very simple and backed myself to play my shots around the ground,” Ishan said after the match.
So far, many emerging fast bowlers have made their debut in Indian colors in the ongoing series against Zimbabwe. Mayank Yadav did well on his return, Yash Dayal made his debut tonight and scored two runs. Prince Yadav also performed brilliantly with the ball.
