Ishaan Kishan dropped out of England before he was out of India; Gautam Gambhir left Cloles

The injury crisis of the India National Cricket Team on the tour of England has taken another worrying turn. Star Indian wicketkeeper-son Rishabh Pant was excluded with a to-finger fracture for six weeks, which he continued during the fourth test in Manchester, reports now revealed that his reported replacement, Ishaan Kishan is also not fully fit.

Ishaan Kishan, who was allegedly drafted as a standby after pants, was forced to hurt 1 of the ongoing fourth Test against England at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, allegedly not recovering and full match is not on fitness.

Ishaan Kishan is not fully fit to play in England’s Test

A Revsports report states, “Ishaan Kishan does not fit perfectly at this point. It remains to be seen whether India brings a replacement.”

Pant is already out and Kishan’s availability uncertainty, India is now facing a serious wicketkeeping dilemma as their aim is to level the test series in Manchester.

At this time there is no fully fit keeper available, all eyes are now on whether the Indian selectors will announce a new replacement or play Dhruv Jurlel in the remaining tour of England. The situation is really challenging for the Indian cricket team, as they are already missing due to injuries to prominent players like Nitish Kumar Reddy, Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh.

Ishaan Kishan jumps back into style after BCCI sentence

Meanwhile, Ishaan Kishan’s journey in the last one year is full of ups and downs. In 2024, he lost his place in the BCCI Central Contract List as he did not follow the board’s rules for domestic cricket. But Ishaan made a strong comeback with Jharkhand in the 2024–25 season, and his efforts paid as they returned their BCCI contract earlier this year.

Currently, Ishaan is playing for Northamptonshire in England’s County Championship Division One and has shown an impressive form with a score of 87 and 77. Earlier this year, wicketkeeper scored 354 runs in 14 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2025.

He made headlines with an amazing start for SRH, broke his first IPL century in just 45 balls against Rajasthan Royals. Sunrisers Hyderabad spent Rs 11.25 crore to buy Ishaan in a mega auction, after one of the most epidemic players in Mumbai Indians.

Ishaan Kishan’s India Journey and FC Number

Speaking of his journey in Test cricket, the left -handed batsman played only two tests, and it was against the West Indies in 2023, and scored only 78 runs with a half -century in his name. However, he made history by defeating Chris Gayle’s record and hitting the fastest-two double century in Odis.

He reached 200 in just 126 balls and became the youngest player to achieve tricks. Ishan has represented India in 27 Odis and 32 T20s so far and has scored 933 and 796 runs respectively. He has played 60 first -class matches and scored 3611 runs for Jharkhand and on an average of around 39 with the help of eight hundreds and 19 fifties and a strike rate of around 70.
