Ishan Kishan could have been the difference maker in the match
Disappointing early innings from Samju Samson, Abhishek Sharma and captain Shreyas Iyer put Team India in trouble in a must-win match. The target is not big, but the Indian batting order had a bad start. Ireland’s fast bowler, Jay Mundra, who has an India tie, stopped the top order of the Indian batting by dismissing Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma in the opening over of the innings and then dismissed Shreyas Iyer.
As the key batsmen from the line-up left, Ishan Kishan walked away with bigger responsibilities on his shoulders. Being one of the influential batsmen of the team, he could have made some important performances with the bat, but due to runouts, he did not get a chance to test his form.
