The opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi came out with fearless intent and took the MI bowlers by surprise. Right from the opening over, Jaiswal signaled his intentions by attacking aggressively, setting the stage for what was to follow.

The duo made a brilliant partnership of 80 runs in just five overs, which completely turned the situation in favor of Rajasthan. Jaiswal looked in great form, timing the ball beautifully and finding the gaps with ease. His unbeaten innings of 77 off 32 balls was a masterclass in controlled aggression, comprising 10 fours and 4 sky-scraping sixes.

Suryavanshi, despite her young age, showed remarkable composure and confidence. His quickfire innings of 39 runs in just 14 balls added a lot of pressure to MI’s bowling attack. One of the standout moments was when he faced Jasprit Bumrah with confidence and hit two sixes in the first over – an act that highlighted his fearless approach.

Even though MI managed to take a few wickets in the middle overs, Jaiswal ensured there was no slump. He took over the innings and took RR to a strong score of 150/3 in just 11 overs, a total that always looked challenging in a short game.

Royals bowlers reach the top, Mumbai Indians batsmen are searching for answers

Chasing a tough target is never easy in a rain-shortened game, and MI felt the pressure early on. The RR bowlers came up with a clear plan and executed it to perfection, striking quickly and derailing Mumbai’s chase almost immediately.

The top order collapsed under pressure as key players failed to step up. MI struggled at 22/3 in the first three overs, losing key wickets including Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Ryan Rickelton cheaply. This initial damage proved too great to recover from.

RR’s bowling attack maintained a tight grip and did not give any breathing room. Ravi Bishnoi played an important role in dismantling the middle order by taking important wickets at the right time. Sandeep Sharma played him well, using his experience to keep things on track and deliver significant successes.

Although there were brief glimpses of resistance from Sherfane Rutherford and Naman Dheer, the required run rate was already out of control. RR bowlers remained disciplined till the end. Restricting MI to 123/9 And secured a solid victory.
