30th match of ipl 2026 A fierce clash was seen at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans (GT) And Mumbai Indians (MI) On Monday. After winning the toss, Captain GT Shubman Gill First opted to field on a surface that initially appeared to offer some purchase for the fast bowlers. While Mumbai fans were hoping for a resurgence to break their four-match losing streak, the evening took a dramatic turn during the final over of the powerplay, courtesy of a South African pace merchant who decided to turn up the heat in the humid air of Ahmedabad.
In the GT vs MI match, Kagiso Rabada’s 152.1 kmph thunderbolt broke Suryakumar Yadav’s stump.
The highlight of the first innings was undoubtedly 5.5 overs, a moment that would be replayed on highlight reels for the rest of the season. Kagiso RabadaAlready finding its rhythm, ready to face the T20 maestro Suryakumar Yadav. Sky had already signaled his intentions in the very first over by hitting Rabada for a skyscraper six over square leg and a brilliant boundary straight down the ground.
However, Rabada’s response was a masterclass in aggressive fast bowling. Clocking in at a blistering 152.1 kmph, his third 150-plus ball of his over, Rabada bowled the ball a little fuller and angled it in with pinpoint accuracy. Suryakumar tried a classical cover drive to take advantage of his pace. But the ball crossed the gap between the bat and the pad and fell back a little. The result was a clatter of wood as all three stumps scattered across the field. It was an absolute ripper that sent the world’s best T20 batsman back to the pavilion after scoring 15 runs in 10 balls, reducing MI to 44/3.

MI faltered early against clinical GT attack
Suryakumar’s dismissal was the centerpiece of a major collapse for the five-time champions. Mumbai’s top order struggled to hold any ground against a Gujarat bowling unit that worked with surgical efficiency. Rabada was the main tormentor, finishing his opening spell with staggering figures of 3/29 in 3 overs. He struck early to remove the debutant Danish Malewar (2) LBW and then dangerous calculation quinton de kock (13), which was thwarted by extra pace and caught by the bowler himself.
By the time the strategic timeout came at the 14-over mark, Mumbai Indians were struggling at 103/4. Whereas Naman Dheer Provided some resistance with 45 runs from 32 balls (6 fours, 1 six), he eventually lost Prasidh KrishnaCaught by Rabada.
