IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans fear KL Rahul, David Miller beat Delhi Capitals in last-ball thriller, fans get excited

In a heart-breaking finale at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Gujarat Titans (GT) maintained courage to defeat Delhi Capitals (DC) by a solitary run in Match 14 of ipl 2026. Asked to bowl first after losing the toss, Delhi made a brilliant comeback but fell badly and were reduced to 209/8 in reply to Gujarat’s 210/4.

The top order of Gujarat Titans performed in unison

Gujarat’s innings was built on three brilliant half-centuries. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front, scoring 70 runs in 45 balls (4 fours, 5 sixes) and took over the innings after the fall of early wickets. Jos Buttler continued his fine form, scoring 52 runs (3 fours, 5 sixes) in just 27 balls before becoming the victim of Kuldeep Yadav. Both added 60 runs for the second wicket.

Leading the charge late was Washington Sundar, who played a breathtaking inning of 55 runs (6 fours, 2 sixes) from 32 balls and added 104 runs for the third wicket with Gill. Glenn Phillips gave Gujarat the final lead by scoring unbeaten 14 runs in 9 balls. finished at 210/4 in their 20 overs.

For Delhi, Mukesh Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each, but the bowlers conceded runs at an economy of over 10.5.

DC’s chase: KL Rahul’s heroics in vain

Chasing 211, Delhi lost Pathum Nissanka (41 off 24) after a strong start of 76 runs with KL Rahul. Nitish Rana (5) and Sameer Rizvi (0) fell cheaply, and when Axar Patel (2) was out, Delhi were struggling at 134/4.

KL Rahul took charge of the innings, playing a captaincy innings of 92 runs in 52 balls (possibly 9 fours, 3 sixes). David Miller (41 not out off 20 balls) and Vipraj Nigam (12 off 7 balls) kept Delhi in the contest, but a poor spell by Rashid Khan (4-0-17-3) and two wickets of Prasidh Krishna halted the run flow.

11 runs were needed in the last over, Delhi could score only 9 runs, while trying to take the second run, Kuldeep Yadav was run out on the last ball. Gujarat celebrated a thrilling 1-run win, their second win of the season.

Rashid Khan was the best bowler for Gujarat, taking 3 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs, dismissing Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi and Axar Patel. Prasidh Krishna (2/52) and Mohammed Siraj (1/52) provided support. Miller lost his mind refusing to take a single on the last ball, which led to Delhi’s defeat.
