The India women’s cricket team will pass through a week’s initial camp for a week in Visakhapatnam before the 2025 ODI World Cup. Women of India to play major World Cup matches in Visakhapatnam
India’s women’s team has strategically chosen Visakhapatnam for their initial camp. They will face South Africa on 9 October and will defend the Champions Australia at the ACA-VDCA Stadium on 12 October.
Visakhapatnam will host India’s five groups-phase matches. The camp will allow the squad for fine strategies and will be compatible with coastal circumstances.
Ahead of India’s domestic series against Australia starting on 14 September in Mulnapur, I also expect an intra-skuad match under a small break. The camp marks the team’s final preparation before the World Cup starting from September 30, 2025.

India to face Sri Lanka in the opening match of 2025 Women’s World Cup
India will open its campaign in the 2025 Women’s World Cup against co-genre Sri Lanka at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on 30 September. A total of eight teams will compete in the league stage, with the top four sides to move forward in the semi -finals. The final is going to be held on 2 November.
India will face Pakistan on October 5 in Colombo in South Africa and Australia on October 12 in Visakhapatnam, England, Indore on October 19, New Zealand in Navi Mumbai on 23 October, and in Bangladesh in Navi Mumbai on 26 October.
Pakistan will play all its matches in Colombo. The first semi -finals will be held on October 29 in Navi Mumbai, and the second semi -final on October 30 will be with the venue on the basis of Pakistan’s progress.
