The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Dream 11 were forced to end their deal after the start of online gaming and protection bill 2025. The sudden exhaust of Dream 11 forced BCCI to scrap the Dream 11 jersey already printed for the upcoming Continental Tournament in UAE and looked for a new lead sponsor in the last minute.
BCCI has already posted an advertisement for lead sponsorship rights, and is expected to finalize a new deal by the end of September. With drawing out with one year with Dream11, still left on its contract, BCCI cannot secure a replacement in time.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team has entered the UAE and started preparing for the Asia Cup 2025. On Friday, September 5, the Indian squad trained together at the ICC Academy in Dubai. Indian vice-captain Shubman Gill and Pesar Jasprit Bumrah converted the nets into a live competition.

Gill carried fluency through the cover, while Bumrah evacuated the fast delivery. His friendly banquet created an electric atmosphere before the tournament. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav also joined the nets as he aims to make a strong comeback after sports hernia surgery.
Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma also did a deep job behind the stump, as any of them would cut India as wicketkeeper. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma faced left -handed spin and wrist spin under the supervision of India’s bowling coach, Morne Morkel.
Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana focused on the fitness drill, while Hardik Pandya bowled small bursting as part of India’s pace rotation strategy. India will face the UAE in Dubai on 10 September, followed by the Archaerals Pakistan on 14 September.
