Indian men’s cricket team 2026 schedule: dates, series and venues

India’s men’s cricket schedule for 2026 promises to be an exciting mix of high-stakes tournaments, home rest and challenging overseas assignments, setting the stage for another blockbuster year across white-ball and red-ball formats.

  • 5 T20 vs New Zealand: January 21 (Nagpur), January 23 (Raipur), January 25 (Guwahati), January 28 (Visakhapatnam), January 31 (Thiruvananthapuram).

February-March: T20 World Cup 2026 (India and Sri Lanka)

Group matches:

  • vs USA – 7 February, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
  • vs Namibia – 12 February, Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
  • vs Pakistan – 15 February, R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
  • vs Netherlands – 18 February, Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

The Super 8, semi-finals and final (if India qualifies) will run till March 8.

June–August: Afghanistan (home), England (away), Sri Lanka (away)

  • June: Afghanistan tour of India – 1 Test, 3 ODIs (venues TBA, all in India).
  • 1-19 July: India tour of England – 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs at venues including Chester-le-Street, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, Southampton, Birmingham, Cardiff and Lord’s.
  • August: India tour of Sri Lanka – 2 Tests (venues and exact dates to be announced).

September–October: Afghanistan, West Indies and Asian Games

  • September: India tour of Afghanistan – 3 T20 matches in Afghanistan.
  • September–October: West Indies tour of India – 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches at home
  • 19 September-4 October: Asian Games (T20 format) in Aichi/Nagoya, Japan; Indian men will participate in the cricket competition.

October–December: New Zealand (away) and Sri Lanka (home)

  • October–November: India tour of New Zealand – 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, 5 T20 matches at venues such as Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch.
  • December: Sri Lanka tour of India – 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is at home to end the year.
