A new controversy came to light against the Pakistan Champion against the Pakistan Champion in the ongoing World Championship of Legends 2025 (WCL 2025). The biggest cricketing rivalry is set to revive on July 20 when India’s champions Edgbaston will face the Pakistan Champion.
Legends’s World Championship confirmed the India-Pakistan struggle on July 20, fans of Indian cricket, former players, including Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, and Irfan Pathan, who are to agree to play against Archery.

Anger among Indian fans was at its peak, especially due to a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam sponsored by Pakistan. Later, the India-Pakistan War took place in April-May, leading to a brief suspension of IPL 2025. After Operation Sindoor, fans are demanding complete boycott of cricket matches with Pakistan in any tournament.

After the recent initiative terrorist attack, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi formed a series of provocative social media positions that targeted India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reacting to Afridi’s comments, former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan slammed Shahid for his unnecessary comments.
Even Dhawan reminded him of the defeat of the past and expressed pride in the Indian Army, urging Afridi to focus on improving his country rather than spreading negativity. But now, Shikhar Dhawan has no issue of sharing the field of cricket with Afridi and Pakistan team. The India Champions Squad includes former players like Yuvraj Singh, Ambati Rayudu, Yusuf Pathan, Robin Uthappa and Harbhajan Singh. On the other hand, Mohammad is on the Pakistani side with Afridi with Shoaib Malik.

WCL 2025 resentment among India-Pakistan struggle fans
Now, fans are questioning the patriotism of former Indian cricketers and are patting them to take action on social media to change their stand for money only.
