Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s wife has accused Indian cricketers of indulging in wrongful activities during foreign tours. However, he has tactfully cleared the all-rounder’s name of any such odious allegations. This is clearly a dig at the culture within the Indian cricket team.
Earlier, Indian cricketers were accustomed to taking their wives and families with the Indian contingent to different countries for tours. However, the BCCI had objected to such actions after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2024.
Since then, cricketers are not allowed to travel with their families, and one of the cricketers’ wives has revealed that they do wrong things when they go on foreign tours. She is none other than Rivaba Jadeja, MLA wife of Ravindra Jadeja.
Ravindra Jadeja’s wife has created controversy by claiming ‘wrongful activities’ against Indian players.
Rivaba Jadeja, wife of World Cup-winning Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, claimed that many Indian cricketers are known to indulge in wrong activities when they are on foreign tours during international tournaments or series.
An old video has surfaced in which the cricketer’s MLA wife can be seen praising her husband for his honesty, but at the same time, she also praised him for not being affected by negative influences. Although he did not mention names, it seemed to be a very direct attack on the culture of the Indian team.
In his statements he clearly said that Jadeja can also indulge in such activities as he knows and understands his responsibilities as a professional cricketer representing his country.
Ravindra Jadeja will now be seen in New Zealand ODI
Undoubtedly, Ravindra Jadeja is one of the greatest all-rounders in world cricket. He represented India in all three formats of the game for over a decade and was a part of all ICC tournaments for India during this period.
The player is famous for his remarkable agility on the field, his catching ability, his efforts on the field and his remarkable fitness despite all this. Injuries have been the rarest of concerns for Indian greats.
Jadeja, who has played for India since his debut in 2009, has played 89 Tests, 207 ODIs and 74 T20Is and has scored nearly 6500 runs with 634 wickets in his career. He played for India in the South Africa ODI series and is likely to return for the New Zealand series starting in January 2026.
Jadeja returns to Rajasthan Royals after 15 years in IPL
Chennai Super Kings have released Ravindra Jadeja after investing heavily in the all-rounder over the last few years. The great all-rounder moved back to his former franchise in 2008, where he tasted success in the IPL for the first time.
Reportedly, Jadeja was very interested in the role, and wanted to make the switch between teams himself, as claimed by RR owner Manoj Badale. He will now be their most senior player in the team and can also be the front runner in the race for captaincy in the team.
He last played for the Royals in 2009 and this marks his comeback after spending 15 years between Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Gujarat Lions and Chennai Super Kings. Therefore, IPL 2026 marks their return home after exile.
