India Took an early lead in the second T20I against South Africa After spinner in Mullanpur Varun Chakraborty produced a moment of genius to refute reeza hendricksThe breakthrough came only when the Proteas openers were trying to settle down and after electing to bowl first it immediately changed the momentum in India’s favour,
Varun Chakraborty bowled a dream ball
This moment came on the first ball of the fifth over. Right from the start of the attack, Chakraborty wasted no time in making an impact. He sent down a beautifully disguised carrom ball – pitched on a good length, sliced with subtle deviation. Hendricks, hoping for space to free his arms, moved back for the pull but failed completely from the low bounce and sharp angle.
The ball went past his shot and hit the stumps, causing the Mullanpur crowd to boo. For Chakravarthy, it was the perfect way to announce himself in the competition, confirming why he has become one of India’s most reliable defensive T20 bowlers.
