Former Team India captain Chris Srikanth has predicted the final struggle of the much awaited Asia Cup 2025 between India and Pakistan. Srikanth said that Salman Ali Aga has an edge in the high-day finals in India, saying that he would not give men even 1% in green.
The summit between India and Pakistan is scheduled to be held in Dubai on Sunday, September 28. India has won the last four T20Is among the parties, including both matches in the ongoing tournament. Pakistan managed to reach the finals despite losing twice in India in the eight-team tournament.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chris Srikanth predicted a unilateral finals between India and Pakistan. Srikanth said that Jaspreet Bumrah’s return will be a game-changer in XI. He said that blue people fought against Sri Lanka due to Bumrah’s absence.
“I will not give Pakistan 1% chance. Yes, you may ask what happened against Sri Lanka and how India was almost beaten. Don’t forget to play Jasprit Bumrah in the match,” Srikanth said,
He said, “And Harshit Rana, who is a sub-barbar bowler, played. He is just a film bowler. The Sri Lankan batsmen gained full confidence only after breaking him. There is an ocean of difference between Bumrah and Harshit Rana,” he said.
India have won their last four T20I encounters against Pakistan, including both matches in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. Overall, the men in Blue have been as an extraordinary T20I form, winning 35 of their last 38 matches.
After surprisingly damage to Pakistan in the 2022 Asia Cup, India have won seven consecutive matches in forms against their staunch rivals.
Chris Srikanth can beat Pakistan even without confident India Abhishek Sharma
The former opener expressed confidence that India would comfortably defeat Pakistan in the final, even if star opener Abhishek Sharma fails with the bat. Srikanth said that India’s batting lineup is depth and can handle Pakistan’s bowling attack regardless of personal performance.
“India will completely shut down Pakistan. Yes, Abhishek Sharma is the main person for India. But I have been asked what will happen when Abhishek Sharma fails.”
The former chief selector said, “Even assuming that he fails yesterday through average, we still have Shubman Gill, with Sanju Samson, with Tilak Verma, who performed well in limited occasions,” said the former chief selector.
Pakistan is playing as the main batsman with Shaheen Afridi – Chris Srikanth
Chris Srikanth said that Pakistan depends a lot on Shaheen Afridi. He said that Sharma is unlikely to get out quickly until he takes out himself, looking at his current form.
“On the other hand, Pakistan is playing with Shaheen Afridi as his main batsman. So even though Abhishek’s run is exempted or if he fails, Pakistan does not give any chance against India. However, in the present, I do not leave Abhishek Sharma out until he removes himself,” he is said to be at the age of 65 years.
Abhishek is the leading run-sheet for the tournament. He has scored 309 runs in six innings on an average of 51.50 and an impressive strike rate of 204.64, including three half -centuries. The batsman has also broken 19 sixes, which is seven more than the next highest hitter.
