Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi urged the Government of India to block the live broadcast of the India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 match. He criticized the Control Board (BCCI) for Cricket in India for agreeing to play against Pakistan in the eight-team tournaments despite the ongoing tension along the border.
Earlier this week, the Sports Ministry clarified that Team India would not play Pakistan in any bilateral series and continue to play in multilateral tournaments like Asia Cup 2025. The announcement was made amid the increasing criticism on the Scheduled India-Pakistan struggle in the Marki tournament.

Opposition MPs have also raised the matter in Parliament, questioning the BCCI’s decision to move forward on the decision of the two countries.
