On Thursday, 25 September, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Test Squad of the India National Cricket Team for the upcoming home series.
The India National cricket team led by Shubman Gill will close the horns with the West Indies National Cricket Team led by Roston Chase in the two -match Test series at home.
Ahmedabad and Delhi to host Test matches
India and West Indies will clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which will begin on 2 October. After that, both teams will travel to Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi for the second game, which will begin from October 10.
The BCCI Selection Committee has named a strong team for the Red-Ball Games against the West Indies, and India is eager to grab a full WTC percentage points in the series after a 2–2 draw on a tour of England.
In particular, India traveled to England for a high-octane Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, which lasted for two months and was his first series in the new ICC World Test Championship Chakra.
Meanwhile, the WTC 2025–27 cycle came against Australia, led by West Indies’ first domestic series of West Indies. He was completely destroyed by Australia in all three matches and faced 0-3 whitewash.

BCCI announces India’s Test Squad for the West Indies Series
Shubman Gill will lead a strong squad against men in Marun, including big names like Kail Rahul, Yashsvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Sirj, Kuldeep Yadav, and others.
Pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been selected for the Home Test series, despite some speculation wrapped in cotton wool and used only in foreign matches.
