Middle-order batsman of women of India Ved Krishnamurthy declared his retirement from all forms of cricket, drawing curtains on a remarkable career, which spread over a decade on Friday, 25 July. In his emotional retirement post, he indicated a new role to give back the game.
Ved Krishnamurthy, who was known for his fearless strokeplay and fighting spirit, represented India in 48 Odis and 76 T20s and played an important role in some of India’s most prestigious win, including the 2017 Women’s World Cup campaign, where India ended as runners -up.

From the small town of Kadur in Karnataka, Veda rose through rank with determination and love for the game. Veda captained Railways in Karnataka and domestic cricket. Both teams played a big role in shaping their career.

Later in his long retirement on social media, he also mentioned how his time with Railways helped him grow significantly. The cricketer also thanked his family, especially her late sister, for her constant support system. He also thanked his coaches, masters and teammates, calling him an essential part of his cricket life.
Veda accepted BCCI, KSCA, Railways and KIOC to demonstrate his skills and develop as a cricketer. As he is away from the field, the Gujarat legendary batsman has expressed a desire to join the game whether it is mentioning young players or contributing to other roles, the right -handed batsman is ready for his second innings in cricket.

Announcing her retirement, Veda wrote on Instagram: “A small town girl with big dreams. From Kadur’s quiet streets to wearing India’s jersey proudly. This game gave me everything: happiness, pain, purpose and family. Today, I say goodbye to play, but not cricket.”
He further said, “For my family, every supporter, thanks to the team partner, coaches, friends, and the curtain, thanks to the fans, even from a distance, even more, you will know anytime. You will know anytime.
Number of Ved Krishnamurthy’s career
In particular, Veda also played four matches in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) and scored 22 runs. He also played nine women Big Bash League (WBBL) match for Hobart storm and scored 144 runs.

In OD cricket, he scored 829 runs in 49 innings, including eight fifties. He made an impressive start in 2012 with debut on debut against England in Derby. Amid all his knocks, 45 balls of 70 runs off just 45 balls against New Zealand were the most memorable in the 2017 World Cup.
His impressive innings helped India women qualify for the semi -finals of the tournament. Later that year, the Vedas achieved another milestone by becoming one of the women to play in the women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) after signing with Hobart storm. In T20 International, Ved scored 875 runs in 63 innings and had two fifties in his name.
