Crucially, he warned that lagging behind in Asian conditions is a shortcoming that is almost impossible to overcome, placing the responsibility squarely on the top order.
“I think it’s important on these types of tours that you start well. If you get behind in a game in the subcontinent, it’s very difficult to fight back. And the batsmen especially have to really pick up your pace.” the 44-year-old claimed.
