Virat Kohli was left disappointed as he failed to catch the ball in an attempt to stop Daryl Mitchell from taking a quick single as the batsman pushed the ball gently towards the mid-off region.
Unlike previous occasions when India and New Zealand have clashed in this series and the Kiwis have scored easily, the Indore pitch has been difficult for them to bat on. The Kiwis lost two of their openers early, but were relieved to get their two match-winners on the pitch.
Virat Kohli walks away disappointed after failing to catch the ball
Indian legend Virat Kohli is known for his excellent performance on the field. When Mohammed Siraj bowled the ball to Daryl Mitchell after the powerplay, the in-form New Zealand batsman lofted it towards the mid-off fielder. Kohli was guarding that area.
Kohli quickly moved towards the ball and tried to catch it with one hand to put pressure on the batsman by throwing it on the stumps. However, Virat repeatedly failed to catch the ball and the ball slipped out of his hand twice.
Frustrated with his failed attempts, he tried to kick the ball but failed in this too. A ridiculous situation arose in the middle of Holkar Stadium.
