In the RCB vs GT match, Washington Sundar dropped the catch of Virat Kohli on his very first ball.

Washington Sundar made a serious mistake which may cost Gujarat Titans the match as he dismissed Virat Kohli for a duck in the clash against RCB at Chinnaswamy.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batting unit is already weak as they lack Phil Salt while chasing a mammoth score of 200+ against Gujarat Titans, who undoubtedly have one of the finest bowling units in the IPL.

Jacob Bethel is a very good player, yet it is difficult to depend on him as he is playing his first game in this IPL. Hence, the bulk of the scoring burden lies with experienced chasemaster Virat Kohli, who will be playing at one of his favorite venues to chase down targets in India.

Washington Sundar dismissed Virat Kohli for zero on the ball of Mohammad Siraj.

Mohammed Siraj is the most successful fast bowler at this venue, the Chinnaswamy Stadium, and has a habit of taking early wickets in the powerplay. Last year, when Titans played here, Siraj was their highest wicket-taker and he performed brilliantly in the powerplay.

He bowled a looping delivery to Virat Kohli, and the batsman was a little early on the shot and edged it to an easy catch to Washington Sundar at short mid-wicket. 10 times out of 10 that catch is completed without a fumble, but not on Washington’s part this time.

The biggest positive in the game for Gujarat might have been that Chessmaster was out for a duck, but if Washington Sundar was not dismissed early in the match, his mistake might have cost the Titans the match.
