Pakistan cricketer Imad Wasim has already retired from international cricket. He currently shares his insights on Pakistan’s cricket-related talk shows. The former Pakistan all-rounder recently announced his second marriage to Naila Raja. However, after his second marriage his first wife accused him of murder and fraud. The cricketer turned analyst had to face criticism on social media.
After the announcement of the second marriage, Imad Wasim’s first wife Sania Ashfaq posted on social media and accused him of aborting the baby in 2023, and also called on Islamabad United to choose a ‘killer’. Now, in a turn of events, he has filed a complaint against his ex-wife for making false allegations.

Imad announced his second marriage through his social media and talked about the most difficult phase of his life. He also admitted that he had to go through a tough phase after his first marriage, which did not succeed.

In the post, he also thanked God that the first chapter gave him the biggest blessing of his life, which is his children, because he loves them unconditionally, and also said that his love for them will never change.
Imaad wants respect and privacy after marrying Naila Raja
He concluded by saying that he was leaving his past behind and moving forward with respect and hope for healing, understanding and peace for all involved. He also respectfully requests that his personal life be treated with dignity and privacy.
After this post, Imad’s first wife alleged that in December 2023, he had pressurized her to abort their child in Lahore and called Imad a murderer and claimed to have a video as proof. He also asked people to boycott Islamabad United’s games in the Pakistan Super League, and said that no cheater or murderer should be allowed to escape accountability.

After retiring from international cricket, Imad currently plays only in the PSL and other franchise leagues around the world. He will be back in action on March 26, 2026, when the PSL starts. However, despite playing the Hundred last year, his participation in the England Franchise League was in doubt as India-owned teams were planning not to select players from Pakistan.
