During the conversation, Yuvraj recalled a specific incident that highlighted how easily rumors can get out of control. The former cricketer revealed that he had just hugged his manager – which he described as a completely normal gesture – but the moment was sensationalized by the media.
“I had an agent, someone I had just started working with. I hugged him. When you meet someone, you hug them, and he blurted out that I was meeting a girl during the match,” Yuvraj said.
According to Yuvraj, the episode became an example of how everyday conversations are often misinterpreted when exposed to cameras and speculation.
Yuvraj admitted that it is almost inevitable for high-profile players and celebrities to be romantically linked with different people. However, he criticized how such rumors are deliberately exaggerated to attract attention and readership.
“It’s part of our lives. If the media doesn’t make controversial or negative comments, they think people won’t read it.” he explained. “I think there’s more negativity than positivity. I think there should be more positive stories out there.”
